In some instances you may be asked to troubleshoot your Pro Link by connecting it to a AA battery to rule out a hardware issue. Here is a brief summary of what you will need to do:

Right-click on the Channels list and select Add Channel. |

In the External Inputs group, select MPVI2, MPVI2+, MPVI3 > Pro Link, Pro Link+. |

Double-click on A/D Input 1 (Red). |

Connect the Red Wire on the Pro Link to the positive terminal of the AA battery. |

Connect the Black Wire on the Pro Link to the Negative terminal of the AA battery. |

Connect your interface to your vehicle and begin logging. |

Observe the voltage displayed in the Value column of the Channels list. |

Without the AA battery connected, the voltage will likely hover around 1.34-1.37 volts. This is perfectly normal. |

With a new AA battery connected, VCM Scanner should read approximately 1.5V-1.6V. |
If VCM Scanner is reading these voltage perfectly, you likely have an issue somewhere else. You may be trying to use custom PID that is incorrect, or your wideband controller may not have been properly configured.
