GM L5P/L5D Shift on the Fly
We’re excited to introduce Switch on the Fly (SOTF)—the first integrated ECM map-switching solution for GM L5P/L5D applications! This feature is designed to function seamlessly with your vehicle, just like a factory-installed option.
To set up and use SOTF, refer to the attached guide, which provides step-by-step instructions for configuration and operation.

Q: Can I use this feature with an aftermarket steering wheel?
A: Yes! This feature is available when using the HPT Diesel Switch.
Q: How can I check which slot is currently active?
A:
- Use VCM Scanner to monitor the "Active Slot" parameter.
- Alternatively, press the "Coast" button to cycle through slots.
Q: I made calibration changes, but nothing changes when I switch slots. Why?
A: Ensure each SOTF table has the SOTF Enable setting set to “OEM+SOTF”.
Q: I set my Default Slot to 4, but when I start the vehicle, it's in Slot 0. What’s wrong?
A: If the Default Slot is greater than the Max Allowed Slots, the system will default to Slot 0.
Q: I shut off my vehicle in Slot 3, and when I restarted it, it was still in Slot 3. Why?
A: The system remembers your last selected slot and automatically restores it on startup.
