Ford 6.0L Shift on the Fly (SOTF) Instructions
We’re excited to introduce Switch on the Fly (SOTF)—the first integrated ECM map-switching solution for Ford 6.0L diesel vehicles! This feature has been designed to function seamlessly, just like a factory-installed option.
To set up and use SOTF, follow the step-by-step guide included in your calibration instructions.
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
Q: Can I use this feature with an aftermarket steering wheel?
A: Maybe. The factory cruise control buttons are required for this feature to work properly.
Q: How can I check which slot is currently active?
A:
- Use VCM Scanner to monitor the "Active Slot" parameter.
- Alternatively, press the "Coast" button on the cruise control.
Q: I made calibration changes, but nothing changes when I switch slots. Why?
A: Ensure that each SOTF table has SOTF Enable set to “OEM+SOTF”.
Q: I set my Default Slot to 4, but when I start the vehicle, it's in Slot 0. What’s wrong?
A: If the Default Slot is greater than the Max Allowed Slots, the system will default to Slot 0.
Q: I shut off my vehicle in Slot 3, and when I restarted it, it was still in Slot 3. Why?
A: The system remembers your last selected slot and automatically restores it on startup.
Q: I’ve followed all the steps, but I can’t get SOTF to work. Can you help?
